System Integrator

Can wired stations be re-used?
Do you have existing call stations, smoke detectors or other wired devices you would like to integrate into the VisionLink Wireless Nurse Call System® or VisionPro Wireless Emergency Call System®?  No problem.  Our VL3395 System Integrator can integrate any existing equipment without the expense of replacement and still provide you with all the services and benefits for which VisionLink is famous.

How does it work?
The System Integrator looks for changes in voltage on the existing wiring and uses the ID voltage to provide a description of the device, alarm or event.  This description is displayed on the console and notification devices such as pocket pagers, telephones, two way radios, cell phones and/or email.  The System Integrator is available in various sizes depending on the number of devices or “points” you wish to re-use.  Each point provides a wire connection for one ID (identification number) that can be individually programmed in the VisionLink system.  When a point is activated, the VisionLink® Video Display Console PC will show the pre-programmed information such as room number and name description.

What happens to the alarms?
Depending on equipment and programming, the VisionLink® system can also send the information displayed on the console to alpha-numeric pocket pagers, two way radios, telephones, as text messages to cellular telephones, Spectralink, Kirk or Ascom wireless phones, or as email messages.  Alarms that are not canceled at the source within a pre-programmed timeframe can be escalated to the same or different outputs.  Every alarm event is recorded in the history log and password protected reports can be printed on demand.
